Eligible applicants must submit the Student-at-Large application to their home institution contact before March 3.
At least one letter of recommendation from a professor who is familiar with the student's work
Official academic records (official transcripts along with translations, if necessary)
Curriculum Vitae/Resume
English language competence: The University of Chicago only admits students who have demonstrated a superior level of English language competence. Students are invited to submit scores from any English proficiency examination they believe represents their English language ability. Students whose native language is not English and who currently attend a college/university where the primary language of instruction is not English can show their English proficiency through submitting formal English proficiency exam scores. While the College does not have specific testing requirements, students with proficiency levels similar to the below ranges and scores have historically been most successful in our discussion-based courses:
