International Pre-Orientation (IPO) provides a way to ease the transition into the University of Chicago for students from around the world. Organized by the College Programming Office, this optional four-day virtual program allows incoming students the opportunity to learn more about campus, the neighborhood of Hyde Park, and the city of Chicago, all while making friends and getting to know upperclass students in the College.
IPO is an opportunity for international students to meet faculty members, staff, and students who are here to help orient them to Chicago and the College. In addition to the coverage of essential topics to ease your transition to UChicago, you will engage in small group discussions and other activities with your upperclass student leaders and fellow group members online.
