Emma Griffith
“UChicago has taught me how to pursue my passions and discover new passions I didn't know existed. UChicago is a place for people who care deeply about whatever it is they're doing, and being surrounded by such a driven, thoughtful and supportive community has been so impactful.”
Law, letters, and society major Emma Griffith’s favorite memory at UChicago was beating Calvin University in volleyball during her third year. As one of UChicago’s biggest rivals, the anticipation for this game was high.
“The stands were packed and we felt so supported by the entire UChicago community. A part of the reason we won was absolutely because of the incredible energy of our fans that night. It was such a special moment for all of us on the team and something we'll always remember.”
When she was not on the court, Griffith was part of the Women’s Athletic Association, Public Policy Leaders Program Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Maroon Key Society. Additionally, she was a student marshal, STARS tutor and vice president, foundation in the Delta Gamma sorority.
After graduation, Griffith will continue in her role as strategy analyst at Accenture Strategy in Chicago.
