Emily Robb
"UChicago has impacted my life in a meaningful way by giving me the freedom to truly explore. There's really no set ‘correct’ path through this school, and the wandering about through various clubs and elective courses helps demystify the silos we've constructed around different disciplines in education.”
For philosophy and political science major Emily Robb, UChicago’s focus on interdisciplinary learning led her to new passions in places she would never have thought to look. “So many of my classes broke down boundaries between majors, and much of what I was learning at UChicago was how to think about big picture problems across fields. Voraciously reading the course catalog helped me find unique opportunities that shaped my experience.”
Robb was an intern at the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at Chicago Booth, a small business growth program consultant at the Polsky Center and a Housing & Residence Life resident dean assistant. She is one of three Class Day student speakers.
After graduation, Robb will work as a business analyst for a financial technology company in New York.
