Winter Quarter 2019 Study Breaks

Whether your finals study schedule has you set up in your favorite Reg cubicle or firmly sunken into one of the Harper Reading Room chairs, it’s important to find balance in the coming days. From FitChicago classes to a calendar packed with study breaks, find a change of scenery this Reading Period. UChicago ArtsPass offers late-night study options at museums, galleries, and art centers across campus, plus a number of University offices and RSOs host events with snacks, academic support, and camaraderie.

FitChicago Classes Athletics & Recreation Various Ratner Center The FitChicago class program offers drop-in group fitness classes which take place all quarter long thru March 23. Classes are led by certified instructors and require no registration.

Reading Period Study Break Arab Student Association 4:30 to 6 p.m. South Lounge Tired of studying already? Come join the ASA for a study break! There will be free food from al-Bawadi Grill and coloring! 
FLI Student Study Space Student Support Services 5 to 8 p.m. 5710 S Woodlawn Ave Join us for an evening of productivity in a supportive environment. Refreshments will be provided!
MSA Study Break Muslim Students Association 6 to 9 p.m. 5710 S Woodlawn Ave Come take a break from studying and de-stress with some yummy food and good company!
Tropic Like It's Hot Uncommon Nights, CLI 10 p.m. to Midnight Reynolds Club Do you miss summer? We do too! So we are trying to bring summer to you. We will be having pizza, wings, fruit snacks and capri sun. We also will be screening Lilo & Stitch.

Winter Study Break: Movie Night Edition New Americans 7 to 10 p.m. Bartlett Trophy Lounge Join New Americans as we celebrate the end of this quarter and the start of reading period with some snacks, camaraderie, and an immigration-themed movie.
Study at the Smart UChicago Arts Pass, Health Promotion and Wellness, Uncommon Nights 9 p.m. to Midnight 5550 S Greenwood Ave Prepare for finals amidst inspiring art in the Smart’s galleries. Power outlets, Wi-Fi, free food, coffee, and other late-night study necessities on hand.

Undergraduate Write-In UChicago Writing Tutors 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stuart 330 Write-Ins help alleviate the isolation of writing alone, foster a campus writing community and signal solidarity among students who are working to become more effective writers. We'll have plenty of quiet workspaces, along with free coffee and tea.
Reading Period Write-In English Department 2 to 5 p.m. Rosenwald 405 For majors and students working on English papers. Free coffee and pastries will be provided.
Study at Logan UChicago Arts Pass, Health Promotion and Wellness, Uncommon Nights  9 p.m. to Midnight 915 E 60th St Come on over to the Logan Center for a study sesh complete with free food, coffee, and a midnight snack. Explore all nine floors of the Logan Center to find your perfect quiet study spot or explore our ongoing Study Breaks throughout the building.
