Opening Convocation is the College’s formal welcome to the Class of 2024. This long-standing tradition includes the presentation of the Class of 2024 and entering transfer students, as well as address about the University’s approach to the liberal arts delivered by John W. Boyer, Dean of the College. Additional speakers include James G. Nondorf, Dean of Admissions; Robert J. Zimmer, President of the University of Chicago; and Emily Nicklin, trustee of the University of Chicago.
