Cole Martin, Class of 2019
Managing Media Editor
Cole Martin is a fourth-year in the College majoring in Political Science and minoring in Creative Writing with a specialization in nonfiction. Originally from the suburbs of Georgia, Cole loves living in a city as busy as Chicago but misses the warmth of the South. When he’s not editing the Viewpoints section for the Chicago Maroon, he enjoys watching tennis matches at odd hours of the day, going to art museums, and tweeting.
Emily Ehret, Class of 2019
Managing Media Editor
Emily Ehret is a fourth-year Creative Writing and Gender and Sexuality Studies double major. A writer of prose, poems, and knitting patterns, she loves to explore the different forms a narrative can take. She serves as a student editorial assistant at the University of Chicago Press and loves to attend Zumba classes, listen to podcasts, and go on bike rides.
Zola Yi, Class of 2020
Photographer
As a third-year Neuroscience major and Visual Arts minor, Zola embraces all of what campus life has to offer. She is on the board of UChicago’s Korean Student Organization, works in a Neurobiology lab on campus, and volunteers at the Hospital. When she’s not running around the quad taking photographs, Zola enjoys practicing the violin, hiking, camping, yoga, and the occasional trip downtown on the weekends.
Ariella Carmell, Class of 2019
Writer
Ariella is a fourth-year Fundamentals major, with particular interests in Nietzsche, religion, and Modernist art and literature. In her spare time she can usually be found reading a novel or writing poetry in her notebook.
Christopher Good, Class of 2019
Writer
Christopher is a fourth-year in the College studying Fundamentals and English. He serves as music editor for the South Side Weekly and equipment chair for WHPK 88.5 FM, but can usually be found reading Wikipedia, looking for greyhounds, or arranging experimental electronic music.
Eliana Melmed, Class of 2021
Photographer
Eliana is a second-year in the College minoring in Media Arts and Design. (Will she ever pick a major? Stay tuned.) When she’s not busy biking from class to class, you can find her walking backwards as she leads tour groups around campus and tries not to trip over things. You might also catch her practicing her Moot Court argument, updating her bullet journal, hanging out at Hillel, or listening to a podcast. Although she will always think of Los Angeles as home, she has been enchanted by Chicago and was pleasantly surprised to find that leaves also come in red and yellow.
Emily Zhu, Class of 2020
Writer
Emily is a third-year majoring in Economics and Philosophy & Allied Fields. Among a few other activities, she serves on the board of ChoMUN and as a financial literacy mentor for Moneythink when she’s not writing out her essays by hand, re-watching comedy specials, or thinking of party gimmicks.
