Jason Lalljee, Class of 2021
Managing editor
Jason Lalljee is a third-year majoring in political science and English. On campus, he works as the Keller House resident assistant and serves as a board member of the Emergency Fund. Previously he served as a head news editor of The Chicago Maroon. In his free time, Jason loves taking photos, going to Doc Films and reading books that aren’t on his class syllabus.

Zola Yi, Class of 2020
Photographer
As a fourth-year neuroscience major and visual arts minor, Zola Yi embraces all of what campus life has to offer. She is on the board of UChicago’s Korean Student Organization, works in a Neurobiology lab on campus and is involved in the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. When she is not running around the quad taking photographs, Zola enjoys practicing the violin, hiking, camping, yoga and the occasional trip downtown on weekends.

Eliana Melmed, Class of 2021
Photographer
Eliana Melmed is a third-year majoring in public policy with a minor in media, arts, and design. When she’s not trying to maintain balance while walking backwards on campus tours, you can find her practicing her Moot Court argument or making way too many lists in her bullet journal. In the rare event she has free time, she likes to indulge in her guilty pleasure of reading poorly-written YA science fiction novels and marvel at the wonders of tiny plastic boxes at the Container Store.

Andrew Emerson, Class of 2020
Writer
Andrew Emerson is a fourth-year in the College. In his free time, he works as a freelance film critic for various online publications. When he’s not watching too many movies for his own good, Andrew enjoys going on long runs, obsessively following politics and reading 19th-century French poetry with a terrible accent.

Ege Yalcindag, Class of 2021
Writer
Ege Yalcindag is third-year pursuing a biological sciences major and French minor. She has never met an animal she hasn’t liked, and she loves listening to podcasts. When she is not working in her lab or cuddling newborns at UChicago Medicine, she can be found singing with her a cappella group, painting, drinking tea or tutoring her peers.

Aly Tantawy, Class of 2022
Writer
Aly Tantawy is a second-year studying near eastern languages and civilizations. He aspires to pursue a career in human rights in the Middle East. When he’s not in class or writing for the team, you can find him playing soccer, going out to Chicago’s neighborhoods, or freestyling with his friends.

Devon Wenzel, Class of 2022
Humanities writer
Devon Wenzel is a second-year majoring in English; and, as such, uses punctuation liberally as she tries to channel Dickens’ excessive (but appropriate) use of semicolons. Outside of classes, she calls herself an amateur cat photographer (her love of tea is only eclipsed by her love of cats); plays on the rugby team; helps manage a dance group (RBIM); and tries her hand at stand-up comedy; she’s working on that last one.

Lily Levine, Class of 2022
Writer
Lily Levine is a second-year pursuing a major in global studies and a minor in human rights. On campus, she is involved with the community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and Bite Magazine. In her free time, Lily writes about mental health for Ariana Huffington’s online platform, Thrive Global, and she enjoys working out, cooking, reading books on health, listening to podcasts and finding cozy coffee shops downtown.
