In Photos: 2023 Undergraduate Research Symposium

On April 21, the University of Chicago celebrated undergraduate research and creative inquiry by hosting the Undergraduate Research Symposium at the David Rubenstein Forum, the first fully in-person event of its kind since 2019.

Undergraduate researchers from across a wide variety of academic disciplines presented their research in poster or oral presentation sessions. Presenting students, also representing all years in the College, had undertaken scholarly research at the University of Chicago or at other domestic or international universities, research institutes, museums or other collections.

The symposium provided an opportunity for the University to acknowledge the significant contribution made to undergraduate education by our faculty and scholars who serve as research mentors. It is a signature program of the College Center for Research and Fellowships (CCRF) supported by the College, the Collegiate Divisions and the Office of Research. It is also supported by generous donors who contribute to the success of the event and support many of the undergraduate presenters by providing research grants managed by the CCRF.
