Oh, the weather outside is frightful… and since there’s no place to go… Let it flow – with watercolor creativity! Explore traditional and nontraditional approaches to painting with watercolors in this 3-part workshop with UofC's DoVA alumna Jan Brugger.
Students will investigate the medium’s wide-ranging expressive possibilities by creating a series of small-scale compositions with provided materials. We will start with the basics like mixing color and layering washes in Part-1 before experimenting with a range of techniques like wet-on-wet, dry brush, masking, collage, and creating personal color palettes in Parts 2 & 3.
Please note: this is a workshop series with three meetings (2/19, 2/26 and 3/5). Participants should plan on attending all workshop meetings.
We will be coordinating on-campus materials distribution for these workshops. Registration will be accepted for students outside of Chicago, but the students will be responsible for purchasing the workshop materials on their own.
Registration for the workshop series is closed as of 2/5/21.
