University Convocation and College Diploma Ceremonies

Graduation from the College consists of two ceremonies, the University-wide ceremony and the College's diploma ceremonies. The University-wide ceremony involves degree candidates from all divisions and schools across campus. It will include the presentation of honorary degrees and an address from the Convocation speaker. The University president, A. Paul Alivisatos, will verbally confer degrees on candidates by division and school. Following the University-wide ceremony, College graduates and their guests will make their way to their diploma ceremony site for lunch and the presentation of diplomas. Diploma ceremonies locations are determined by residential community.
