Description:

Join the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation for a special event with Maria Kim, ’12, CEO & President of REDF and Chicago Booth 2022 Distinguished Alumni in Public Service Award recipient. REDF is a venture philanthropy that invests exclusively in employment social enterprises, supporting over 200 enterprises across 33 states.

During this event, you’ll watch REDF’s recently released mini-documentary, Igniting the Flame, which tells the inspiring stories of individuals breaking through employment barriers with the support of two different social enterprises.

After the screening, Professor Robert Gertner will moderate a conversation with Maria Kim about the film, REDF’s transformative work, and her own social impact journey. An audience Q&A with Maria Kim and reception are to follow.
