Meet Your 2017-2018 College Media Editors

Jamie Ehrlich, Class of 2018

Managing College Media Editor

Jamie is a fourth-year in the College majoring in Political Science and is writing her thesis on the suppression of American civil liberties in the digital age. Interested in politics, journalism, advertising, and media, you can often find Jamie on campus running between the Reg and the Chicago Maroon’s office, where she serves as an Editor. Her hobbies include Model UN, playing (and losing at) Boggle with her roommates, and exploring the restaurants of Chicago.

Emily Ehret, Class of 2019

College Media Editor

A third-year Creative Writing and Gender and Sexuality Studies major, Emily is a fiction writer as well as an Arts Editor and local theater reviewer for the Chicago Maroon. As president of Chamberlin House, Emily is an active member of Burton-Judson Residence Hall, often making an unathletic but enthusiastic appearance at intramural sports events. When not studying or writing, Emily enjoys knitting, salsa dancing, and thrift shopping.

Adia Robinson, Class of 2018

College Media Editor

Adia is a fourth-year English and Political Science major originally from Washington, DC. Passionate about journalism, in addition to being a College Media Editor, she is also the Politics Editor of the South Side Weekly. She is a member of the Organization of Black Students (OBS), and used to be on the Editorial Board of Blacklight, their literary publication. When she’s not in class or writing, Adia spends her time listening to Beyonce and missing her cats back home.

Zola Yi, Class of 2020

College Visual Media Editor

A second-year Neuroscience major, Zola’s diverse span of interests ranges from the visual arts to the sciences, and encompasses nearly everything in between. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Zola embraces all of what campus life has to offer. She is a member of the University Chamber Orchestra, and is looking forward to participating in more organizations and activities as the opportunity presents itself in the upcoming year. When she’s not running around the quad taking photographs, Zola enjoys practicing the violin, hiking, camping, yoga, and the occasional trip downtown on the weekends.

Cole Martin, Class of 2019

College Media Editor

A third-year in the College majoring in Political Science and minoring in Human Rights, Cole spends most of his time editing for the Maroon, where he proudly serves as Head Viewpoints Editor and has done so since his first year. Originally from the suburbs of Georgia, Cole relishes living in a city but misses the warmth of the South. When he’s not locked in the basement of Ida Noyes editing, Cole enjoys watching tennis matches at odd hours of the day, tweeting obsessively, and going to art museums.
