HealthiestYou Telehealth Appointments

Students on U-SHIP may reach a doctor 24/7 by visiting the HealthiestYou website or calling 855.866.0895.
Students not on U-SHIP can use this option for a modest fee or contact their insurance provider for a telehealth option.

Emergency Care

Students needing immediate treatment of very serious or critical conditions should contact 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. (The University of Chicago's Emergency Department is located at 5656 S. Maryland Ave.

UChicago Student Wellness provides University of Chicago students in eligible programs with both primary, routine health care, such as physical examinations, as well as acute care for a wide range of complaints. If routine health care on campus is desired, it is recommended that students establish a primary care provider with one of our physicians or nurse practitioners.

Medical services are appointment-based. If you seek same day care, please call 773-834-9355 during business hours to speak with a triage nurse.

Several online and in-person programs are available to promote education surrounding alcohol and drug use.  UChicago Student Wellness therapists also perform substance use evaluations.

UChicago Student Wellness provides allergy injections for students already receiving injections.

Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College (and Graduate) Students (BASICS) is a service for students who want to explore their alcohol use.

UChicago Student Wellness nurse practitioners offer contraception consultations to discuss contraception options.

UChicago provides care for students with COVID-19 and COVID-19 symptoms.

The UChicago Student Wellness Eating Concerns Team takes a multidisciplinary approach to supporting students in addressing eating concerns.

UChicago Student Wellness offers free flu shot clinics at a variety of campus locations for all students, faculty, and staff.

UChicago Student Wellness provides routine gynecological exams as well as evaluation for acute problems.

Students are required to have proof of immunity and/or vaccinations for certain diseases. Learn more about immunization requirements and how to get vaccinations.

UChicago Student Wellness has full-time phlebotomists on staff who perform laboratory testing daily.

Students can receive physical therapy services from the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Chicago Hospital or may elect to receive services from outside providers. Learn more about physical therapy options.

UChicago Student Wellness staff helps students with urgent health care needs and provides routine medical services.

Our staff are committed to supporting the diverse health and wellbeing needs of our LGBTQ+ and gender expansive communities in a variety of ways.

UChicago Student Wellness offers confidential STI testing for students, along with treatment if needed.

The University’s sports medicine physician sees both collegiate and non-collegiate athletes to discuss sports- and fitness-related concerns and injuries.

The mission of the University of Chicago Student Recovery Group is to provide fellowship and support for University of Chicago students who are in recovery or exploring sobriety.

UChicago Student Wellness offers free travel consultations to discuss vaccine requirements. Appointments should be made at least four to six weeks prior to travel.

Resources for Sexual Assault and Interpersonal Violence Survivors

We at Student Wellness are committed to providing a safe and confidential space for all students impacted by any form of sexual or interpersonal violence. Such experiences may include sexual harassment or assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
