Nowruz (Persian New Year's) Celebration

The Persian Cultural Society at the University of Chicago is proud to announce the next annual Persian New Year’s Celebration which will be held at the Performance Penthouse (9th floor) of the Logan Center for the Arts (915 E 60th St) on 25 March.

Abundant free street parking available around the building.

This year’s program includes three sections:

6 – 7:30 Cultural component (in English)

We will have several lectures on Nowruz in Iran and other countries that celebrate this tradition by UChicago faculty and students. In order to maximize the outreach and inclusiveness of the cultural program, this section will be in English.

Please note that doors will be closed after this section starts and will only be opened at 7:30. So, please be on time!

7:30 – 9 Dinner

Catering from Noon-o-Kabab! (including Halal and Vegetarian options)

9 – 11 Dancing

You can’t really top the magnificent view from the Penthouse, so this is going to be an unforgettable experience!

Ticket will be sold exclusively via the UChicago Arts Box Office. Tickets will be ready for pick up at 5:30 on the day of the event upon showing your student ID.
