Help.uchicago.edu is a central resource that provides contact information and advice depending on your emergency, problem, or issue.
The College advisers are an unbeatable source of information when you have a question about your academic studies in the College. And if they don’t know the answer, they’ll know who does.
The University police provides a free bike registration program at no charge to you. If they recover your lost or stolen (registered) bike, they’ll let you know.
If you haven’t already done so, sign up for emergency alerts on the cAlert system. You can ask for alerts to be sent to your email, cell phone, home telephone, or even a pager.

IT Services publishes a guide for new students (it’s useful for returning students as well) describing the computing and phone services available, as well as security and privacy guidelines. If you live on campus, Residential Computing supplies your desktop support using a skilled group of Resident Computing Assistants (RCAs).
The Dean-on-Call Program includes the Dean on Call and the Sexual Assault Dean-on Call. Both Deans are available 24 hours a day, every day of the calendar year. They can be reached by calling the University Police (at 123 or 702-8181).
A complimentary door-to-door bus transportation service to and from regularly scheduled classes for students who have been approved for the ADA accommodation process. Transportation for additional University classes or activities can also be arranged.

RSVP’s prevention and education resources seek to promote healthy gender relations on campus. The site also provides critical information for victims of assault.
Operated by the Transportation and Parking office, SafeRide offers transportation to your destination after hours (beginning at 5pm). You may need to wait a while for your ride to arrive (usually no longer than 20 minutes). ADA accessible. 773-702-2022.
This site can give you advice about where to go for help in the event of sexual assault, stalking concerns, domestic violence, or if you’re confused and need answers.
Run by the University of Chicago Medical Center, the SCC is your primary health care provider at the University of Chicago.
SCRS provides stress management workshops, individual and couples therapy, support groups, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, assessment and treatment for alcohol and other drug abuse, and referrals. They also run the Academic Skills and Assessment Program (ASAP).

If you’re concerned about your safety anywhere within the UChicago Police coverage area, you can call to request a police escort to follow as you walk to your destination. Call 773-702-8181 for the first available patrol car.
In addition to emergency response (773-702-8181), the UCPD offer a number of services that may be of use to you, including laptop security tags, house watch service, the bicycle registration program, and jumper cables (although you can’t use the squad car to jump start your car).
