Dr. Edmond Awad will give a talk about the "Moral Machine," a project at the intersection of machine learning, computational social science, and ethics. The Moral Machine (moralmachine.mit.edu) is a platform for gathering a human perspective on moral decisions made by machine intelligence, particularly decisions made by autonomous vehicles.

So far, Dr. Awad's team has collected over 37 million decisions by over 3.5 million visitors from over 170 countries through the site. His talk will provide some details about the design of the platform, the analysis of the data collected, and the lessons learnt throughout. Also, insights about the human perception of the various routes to full automation will be presented from data collected through other online platforms.
