You will be automatically enrolled into certain course sequences; these are typically general education and language courses. If you are automatically enrolled in a course, then you do not need to select and rank it during 8th week. These "rollover" courses are pre-populated before you access Course Request (they will appear on the bottom of your screen with other requested courses).
Depending on the quarter, you may drop out of certain sequences before requesting other courses.
Note: First-year students are restricted from dropping humanities and social science courses at the end of autumn quarter and should discuss any section change, drops, or adds with their College adviser prior to the 8th week of autumn quarter.
In order to re-enroll in a dropped sequenced course, you must select and rank that course. Re-enrollment in any course is not guaranteed. Contact your College adviser for questions about the course enrollment process.

Make an appointment with your adviser at the reception desk (Harper, 2nd Floor) or by calling 773-702-8615. You can reach the Adviser-on Call for urgent issues at this number too.
